An AI buyer persona is a technology that analyzes actual buyer purchasing patterns, preferences, and business characteristics using AI to generate virtual buyer profiles. Selected as KOTRA DX Innovation Lab Project 10, this initiative enables export companies to conduct pre-consultations with AI-generated virtual buyers before meeting real buyers, maximizing consultation efficiency.

Traditional export consultation sessions often suffered from a lack of advance information about buyers, leading to inefficiency during actual meetings. AI buyer personas solve this problem by allowing exporters to anticipate buyer needs and prepare customized proposals in advance.

Future Development Roadmap

The UserConnect solution is evolving beyond simple simulation into a real-time consultation assistance tool. A feature currently under development will analyze buyer facial expressions and tone during live video consultations to gauge interest levels in real time and suggest optimal response strategies to trade office staff.

Additionally, integration with KOTRA Navi (the genuine buyer discovery system) will enable automatic persona generation for AI-identified buyers, allowing companies to initiate virtual pre-consultations immediately — a one-stop service slated for launch in 2026.
