Overseas Field Intelligence Pipeline: From Collection to Distribution
KOTRA DX Innovation Lab Project 2 is an AI-based system for collecting, producing, and distributing overseas field intelligence. It establishes an end-to-end information pipeline in which AI automatically collects, classifies, summarizes, and refines large volumes of local information generated by 127 overseas trade offices before delivering it to Korean companies. By automating more than 70% of the information production process that had previously relied on manual work by trade office staff, the system improves both the volume and the speed of intelligence delivery.
Three-Stage Pipeline Architecture
The overseas field intelligence pipeline is organized into three stages: Collection, Production, and Distribution. Specialized AI models operate at each stage, and data flows automatically from one stage to the next.
AI Collection Technology in Detail
The collection stage combines four core technologies: multilingual web crawling, document parsing, deduplication, and source verification. The system collects information from local media, government websites, and industry associations across 86 countries and can process more than 30 languages.
| Technology | Function | Processing Scale | Accuracy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Multilingual Crawlers | Automatically collect content from local media and government sites across 86 countries | 5,000+ items/day | 98% collection rate |
| Document Parsing | Extract and structure text from PDFs, HTML, and images | Multiple formats | 95% extraction rate |
| Deduplication | Detect and consolidate overlapping articles and information | Real-time processing | 92% duplicate detection |
| Source Verification | Evaluate source reliability and support fact-checking | AI scoring | 88% reliability classification |
Production and Distribution Automation
In the production stage, collected raw information is transformed into formats that Korean companies can use directly. AI summarization models convert original texts in local languages into Korean briefings, extract critical data, and generate infographics automatically. In the distribution stage, the system curates information according to each company's target industries and markets before delivering it through multiple channels.
Collecting Bangladesh Field Intelligence
The KOTRA Dhaka Trade Office uses the AI intelligence pipeline to collect and refine Bangladesh market information in real time. AI automatically gathers materials from major local media outlets such as The Daily Star and The Financial Express, as well as releases from Bangladeshi government bodies including BIDA, BEZA, and the NBR, then summarizes them in Korean and distributes them promptly to relevant companies.
