Metaverse VR/XR Overseas Marketing: ShareBox's Virtual Exhibition Solution

ShareBox: A Metaverse Solution for Overseas Marketing

ShareBox is a company that developed VR/XR-based virtual exhibition halls and 3D product experience solutions. Through participation in KOTRA's DX Innovation Lab, it built a metaverse platform tailored to overseas marketing. The platform allows companies to demonstrate products in 3D to overseas buyers and conduct real-time consultations inside a virtual space without attending physical trade fairs.

Since the pandemic, the importance of contactless marketing has increased sharply. Metaverse-based virtual exhibitions are becoming an effective way to build touchpoints with global buyers beyond the constraints of time, geography, and exhibition cost.

Technology Stack: VR/XR, 3D Rendering, and Real-Time Communication

ShareBox's metaverse platform combines three core technologies: WebXR-based cross-platform 3D rendering, product 3D scanning and modeling, and live voice, video, and text communication. Together, these elements create a highly immersive virtual exhibition experience.

3D Product Digitization
Create a 3D digital twin through photogrammetry or CAD models
Virtual Hall Setup
Design brand-aligned booths, place products, and configure interactions
Buyer Invitation and Visit
Share a URL for access via PC, mobile, or VR so buyers can explore freely as avatars
Real-Time Consultation
Enable live voice, video, and chat between buyers and companies with AI interpretation support
Lead Collection and Analysis
Analyze visitor behavior such as dwell time and viewed products, then classify promising leads automatically

Virtual Exhibitions vs. Offline Exhibitions

Metaverse-based virtual exhibitions do not completely replace offline events. Instead, they work best as a complementary channel. They are especially effective for pre-event marketing, reaching distant buyers, and running always-on showcases, while hybrid models that combine offline and virtual formats tend to deliver the strongest results.

Applications for Bangladeshi Buyers

Bangladesh has limited international exhibition infrastructure, and visiting Korea is not easy for many buyers because of visa and cost constraints. Metaverse virtual exhibitions can remove these physical barriers, allowing buyers in Dhaka to explore Korean products in 3D and join live consultations using only a smartphone.

01
Always-On Korea Pavilion
In coordination with the KOTRA Dhaka Trade Office, an online Korea Pavilion can operate year-round for Bangladeshi buyers. Korean company booths in apparel machinery, IT, cosmetics, food, and other sectors can remain permanently on display.
02
VR Buyer Consultation Events
Quarterly Korea-Bangladesh buyer meetings can be held in VR. Bangladeshi buyers can participate through VR headsets, PCs, or mobile devices, inspect products in 3D, and conduct live consultations with Korean firms.
03
Virtual Showroom for RMG Materials and Equipment
A specialized showroom can focus on fabrics, accessories, and machinery for Bangladesh's garment industry. Buyers can review fabric texture, color, and patterns in high-resolution 3D.
04
Hybrid Exhibition Model
Virtual booths can run alongside offline events such as the Dhaka International Trade Fair. Buyers who cannot attend in person can still participate online, expanding reach by more than three times.
