Program Structure

The K-Tech Pass AI program is operated in five stages: talent sourcing, capability assessment, company matching, visa issuance, and settlement support. Opportunities for Bangladeshi Talent

01
Employment with Korean AI Firms: Access to KRW 50M+ Salaries
Korean AI startups and major corporations such as Korea Corp, 코리아디스플레이, Naver, and Kakao face a serious shortage of AI talent. Through K-Tech Pass, Bangladeshi AI developers can access positions in Korea with annual salaries in the KRW 50M-80M range, roughly six to ten times higher than average IT salaries in Bangladesh.
02
Capability Upgrading: Experience in Korea's Technology Ecosystem
Korea is a global leader in 5G, semiconductors, and AI. Working in Korea for three to five years through K-Tech Pass can provide experience with advanced technologies and leading firms, which may later strengthen Bangladesh's own IT industry if participants return home.
03
Permanent Residency Pathway: E-7 to F-2 to F-5
After three or more years of work on an E-7 visa, participants may transition to an F-2 residency visa, and after five or more years of residence, they may apply for an F-5 permanent residency visa. Highly skilled technical workers receive advantages under the point-based system.
04
Startup Support: Linkage with K-Startup Programs
Participants interested in entrepreneurship can connect to Korean startup support schemes, including startup visa support, accelerator matching, and early-stage funding channels.

The K-Tech Pass AI program sits at the intersection of Korea's shortage of AI talent and Bangladesh's growing supply of IT professionals. With annual salaries above KRW 50M, a KRW 5M settlement grant, and a fast-track visa process, the program presents a compelling proposition for Bangladeshi talent. A practical first step is to attend KOTRA Dhaka briefing sessions, review the program requirements in detail, and prepare for coding tests and company matching. Over the longer term, technical experience gained in Korea may also contribute to the development of Bangladesh's own IT ecosystem.
