EIPP Mirsharai: A New Town Project for Bangladesh's Economic Zone
EIPP (Economic and Industrial Park Project) Mirsharai is a large-scale economic zone and new town development planned in the Mirsharai area, north of Chittagong in Bangladesh. Led by the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), the project is supported by Korea through smart city master planning and infrastructure design. The 30,000-acre development is designed to integrate industrial estates, residential districts, commercial facilities, and smart infrastructure within a single zone.
Smart City Master Plan
The Mirsharai master plan applies Korean smart city know-how across five major domains: industrial districts, residential districts, commercial districts, green and park areas, and infrastructure networks. The framework reflects lessons from Korean urban development projects such as Sejong City and Songdo International Business District.
