K-Goods Festa Event Plan: Five Rounds of Evolution

The K-Goods Festa event plan went through five rounds of revision, from the initial draft (v1) to the final confirmed version (v5). Each iteration reflected on-the-ground conditions in Bangladesh, feedback from participating firms, budget adjustments, and regulatory changes. The full planning process offers a practical reference for trade offices and companies preparing overseas consumer goods exhibitions and sales events.

Main Improvements Across Versions

01
v1 to v2: Expanding consumer touchpoints by adding B2C
The first version focused on a buyer-centered B2B exhibition. In v2, the plan added B2C sales and hands-on experience programs in response to demand from Bangladeshi consumers to try Korean products directly. This made it possible to offset part of the event cost through on-site sales while also collecting consumer response data. The change effectively shifted the event from a conventional exhibition to a true festa format.
02
v2 to v3: Venue change and launch of an experience zone
The hotel ballroom in v2 did not provide enough space for B2C experience activities. In v3, the venue shifted to a major shopping mall in Dhaka to capture walk-in traffic. However, mall-side restrictions on cosmetics sampling and food preparation limited program execution. This phase highlighted the importance of verifying venue-specific regulations before confirming any overseas event site.
03
v3 to v4: Repositioning the venue and optimizing the budget
To resolve the shopping mall regulatory constraints, v4 moved the event to a premium hotel. The hotel setting was more flexible for food and beverage programming and allowed B2B meeting rooms and B2C experience space to operate separately. At the same time, the budget was optimized from $80K to $70K by reducing nonessential decoration costs and reallocating resources toward influencer marketing and live broadcasting.
04
v4 to v5: Final confirmation and operating manual
Version 5 kept the overall v4 structure while locking down operational detail. It included staffing tables, an hourly program schedule, an emergency response manual, payment system test results, interpreter assignments, and a media coverage plan. In particular, the addition of bKash and Nagad mobile payment enabled cashless B2C transactions on site.
