Meghna Bridge Project Overview
The Meghna Bridge project is a major bridge development initiative crossing the Meghna River, one of Bangladesh's most important waterways. As this section is a critical bottleneck on the Dhaka-Chattogram transport corridor, the project is being pursued to relieve the capacity constraints of the existing crossing through either a new bridge or an expanded structure.
The project is expected to be procured by RHD and, in some components, LGED, with multilateral financing support from institutions such as JICA and the ADB. Its primary objective is to improve logistics efficiency along the Dhaka-Chattogram freight corridor.

Technical Challenges
Opportunities for Korean Companies
Project Participation Flow
Meghna Bridge is one of the representative infrastructure opportunities where Korean long-span bridge technology can be applied in Bangladesh. Because it sits on the country's main Dhaka-Chattogram logistics axis, the project combines high strategic value with meaningful prospects for Korean contractors, suppliers, and engineering advisors.
