Port Access Road Project Overview
Port Access Road refers to a package of access road construction projects linking Bangladesh's major seaports with inland transport corridors. It is a core logistics infrastructure program supporting the hinterland flows of Chattogram Port, Mongla Port, and Matarbari Deep Sea Port.
Even where port handling capacity is expanding, logistics efficiency can still be constrained by severe bottlenecks on approach roads. Bangladesh is therefore pushing forward large-scale road construction and widening programs to improve cargo evacuation from key port gateways.
Port-Specific Access Road Plans
