Network Expansion in Mymensingh Region Overview
Network Expansion Mymensingh Region is a distribution network expansion project in Bangladesh's Mymensingh area in the central-north. Mymensingh was upgraded to an 8th administrative division in 2015, and the area is rapidly urbanizing and industrializing, driving annual power demand growth above 12%.
The project is contracted by PBS (Palli Bidyut Samity, Rural Electric Cooperative) and NESCO (North Zone Electric Supply Company). Its core objective is achieving 100% electrification in rural areas while upgrading distribution quality.
