Korea Build Week 2025: Construction and Building Materials Industry Global Consultation

Korea Build Week 2025 Overview and Industry Standing

Korea Build Week is Korea's largest construction and building materials industry global consultation program, jointly organized by KOTRA and the Korea Federation of Construction Contractors. The 2025 event runs for five days at COEX in Seoul, organized into four specialized halls covering building materials, interior finishing, smart construction, and green building. The core objective is to directly demonstrate Korean construction material industry competitiveness to overseas buyers and convert one-on-one consultations into export contracts.

Notably, the 2025 edition has expanded emerging construction market buyer invitations by more than 30% year-on-year, with particular growth from Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Middle East. Bangladesh is a strategically important market for Korean building materials companies — the Padma Bridge, Dhaka Metro Rail, and Matarbari Deep Seaport are among the large-scale infrastructure projects currently underway.

Four Specialized Halls and Key Products

Korea Build Week 2025 is organized into four specialized halls covering the full construction industry value chain. Each hall concentrates products that directly address Bangladesh construction market demand, and buyers can efficiently schedule consultations with companies in their area of interest through the pre-matching system.

Participating Companies and Bangladesh High-Potential Products

The following identifies key 2025 participating companies and products with direct linkage potential to the Bangladesh construction market. Bangladesh imports approximately $2.2B in building materials annually, with Korean products holding just 3.5% market share — leaving substantial room for growth. Korean products are particularly competitive in premium tiles, sanitary ware, elevators, electrical equipment, and smart home systems.

Global Consultation Program Process

The Korea Build Week Global Consultation is operated systematically from pre-matching through post-show follow-up. KOTRA overseas trade offices handle buyer verification and matching, provide interpretation and consultation space during the exhibition, and support a three-month post-show follow-up program after the event closes.

01
Leverage the Pre-Matching System
The KOTRA Dhaka Trade Office maintains a database of 500+ Bangladesh construction buyers. When participating companies submit their target buyer type and product interest profile, the trade office verifies each buyer's purchasing capacity, import track record, and active project pipeline — then pre-matches 15–25 buyers per exhibitor. Following match confirmation, English catalogs and FOB/CIF price lists are sent to buyers in advance to maximize consultation efficiency.
02
Running On-Site One-on-One Consultations
Each consultation slot is 30 minutes, with a maximum of 8 consultations per day per exhibiting company. Dedicated Bengali-Korean interpreters are stationed at each booth, and separate product demonstration spaces are available. MOU agreements signed on the exhibition floor receive priority assignment to the KOTRA post-show follow-up management program.
03
Post-Show Follow-Up and Contract Conversion
Sending a formal thank-you email and official quotation within 48 hours of the exhibition closing is the single most impactful action for improving contract conversion rates. KOTRA supports buyer follow-up contact, sample logistics, and local agent identification for three months post-exhibition. Based on 2024 results, 38% of on-site MOU agreements converted to formal contracts within this period.

Bangladesh Construction Market Linkage Strategy

Bangladesh's construction sector accounts for approximately 8% of GDP and is growing at 9–11% annually. Using Korea Build Week consultations as a beachhead for Bangladesh market entry requires a strategic approach tailored to local market characteristics.

Korea Build Week 2025 Global Consultation is the optimal platform for Korean construction and building materials companies to meet emerging market buyers — including Bangladesh — and secure export opportunities face-to-face. Companies that combine systematic pre-show preparation, strategic use of KOTRA support programs, and consistent post-show follow-up management are the ones that convert exhibition participation into real export outcomes. The convergence of Bangladesh's high construction growth trajectory and Korean building materials' premium competitive positioning makes this the right time to move from market observation to market entry.
