This report reviews the combined performance of export consultation programs organized by KOTRA across the second half of 2024 and the first half of 2025. By consolidating results from Boom-Up Korea Week, G-Fair, sector-focused consultations, and online Tri Day meetings, it identifies key industry and regional performance trends.

More than 120,000 export consultations were conducted during the 12-month period, generating over USD 12 billion in contract value, up 18% from the same period a year earlier. Bangladesh-related consultations also expanded to more than 2,500 cases, reinforcing their role as a growing channel in bilateral trade development.

Bangladesh-Related Results

Bangladesh-related export consultations totaled more than 2,500 cases, with 1,500 in the second half of 2024 and 1,000 in the first half of 2025. Contract value reached USD 85 million, up 35% from the same period a year earlier, while consumer goods, food, and industrial products together accounted for around 70% of all activity. Consultations with Bangladeshi buyers during Boom-Up Korea Week and G-Fair Dhaka represented a particularly significant share of the total.

Food and Beauty Show the Fastest Momentum: Backed by K-Culture
Food (+25%) and beauty (+30%) posted the strongest growth rates among all sectors. This is closely tied to the global spread of Korean cultural content such as K-dramas and K-pop. Interest in K-beauty and Korean food is also rising rapidly in Bangladesh, suggesting stronger momentum in the second half of 2025.

Online Consultations Continue to Expand: 35% to a Projected 40%
The share of Tri Day online consultations increased from 30% to 35%, and is projected to reach 40% in the second half of 2025. Online consultations are becoming more important because of cost efficiency and accessibility, while advances in AI-based matching are helping improve conversion rates.

Medical and Bio Deliver the Highest Conversion Rate: 22%
The medical and bio sector recorded the highest conversion rate at 22%. High entry barriers such as approvals and certification can work in favor of Korean companies. Combined with Bangladesh’s growing demand for healthcare infrastructure, specialized consultation programs such as GBPP are generating visible results.

Outlook for 2025 H2: Concentration of Boom-Up Korea and G-Fair
Major events such as Boom-Up Korea Week, G-Fair Seoul and Dhaka, GBPP, and EDUTECH are expected to be concentrated in the second half of 2025. Contract value is projected to exceed USD 8 billion, surpassing the USD 7.2 billion achieved in 2024 H2, while Bangladesh-related consultations may rise above 2,000 cases. A hybrid online-offline participation strategy will be critical.
